Dr Vivek Patel

We would like to welcome Dr Vivek Patel as our new partner in the practice from the 6th of September. He will be working full-time in the practice and we are certain our patients will welcome him.

Dr John Banks

Should you wish to leave a message of condolence in memory of Dr John Banks, a book of condolence is still available at the Eastgate Surgery in Knaresborough.

We would like to thank everyone for their generous donations in Dr Banks' name and would like you to know that they will be used to provide a community defibrillator. We will keep you updated of the progress with this.

Named GP

It is a requirement of all practices in England to allocate every patient with a named GP. If you would like to know who is your named GP please ask at reception. If you would like to change this to a specific GP then please inform reception who will make this change for you.

Friends and Family Test

With effect from 1 December 2014 when you visit our surgeries you will have the opportunity to take part in the Family & Friends Test by answering a simple question about your experience.  Your response is anonymous and you will be able to post this in a ballot box in Reception.  Alternatively you will be able to complete the survey by clicking on the link under 'Have your say' to the right of the screen .

We will review your responses each month and provide feedback.

Meningitis B Vaccine

Private Vaccines:

Unfortunately, it has been widely reported, there is a national shortage of the vaccinateion Bexsero (against Men B) and as such we are unable to obtain a private supply.  we would therefore recommend that parents wishing to vaccinate privately keep in touch with the larger private clinics who will most likely be the first to obtain stock when it becomes available.

This supply issue does not affect our younger patients currently being or due to be vaccinated against Men B as part of the NHS Vaccination programme.
